Eating Disorder Awareness

Something special I did this afternoon and for the month of February. February is national eating disorder awareness. The ribbon color for Eating Disorder awareness is periwinkle.

Measure: 7'5"

Materials: Periwinkle glass beads, sterling silver crimps, sterling silver balls, silver plated clasps and a few other silver plated findings.

My Story:
I'm making this short. I support the awareness because I myself, suffered from one. I fell into self starvation for almost two years. I'm going to admit it, I hated myself, the way I looked, and I thought I was never good enough for anything. I almost died of a weight of 105lbs, low blood pressure and low blood sugar and saw my turning point to where my body was telling me "you either fix this or it's over" at the time I threw up and passed out in a store. To this day, one year later, after going into self recovery of vegetarianism (basically started from the bottom with good health) I still suffer its aftershocks and my body has to pay the price. I can't apologize to my body, only can learn from what I did and try and do my best in life.

Please, do not starve yourself. Thousands of teens, adults, young girls, young men, women, and men suffer at the hands of self starvation and eating disorders.

I think it's one of worst monsters in this world.

Raise the awareness of eating disorders!
